As 2011 drew to a close Noble Creek once again celebrated the end of the year in true Noble Creek style. The afternoon started off with activities and games with all the stables, owners, riders, friends and grooms trying their hand at “Minute to Win It”. We were all divided into two teams, the Red Team and the Blue Team. We tried staking apples on top of one another and wiggling biscuits from our foreheads to our mouths. The most laughs came when it was time to “shake what our mammas gave us” and get pin pong balls out of a tissue box. The activities especially for the grooms were also great fun and a special treat for all the grooms. They showed us that not only are they great with our horses, but have some extra talents too.
After all the fun and games it was time for the awards. As each person was called up to accept their award from Alet, we were all reminded of how much effort and perseverance each person put in throughout the year.
A big thank you to Magda, Kristen and all the grooms for the countless hours spent assisting each of us and our horses and a very special thank you to Alet for all her hard work during the year, none of us would be able to say “Wow, What a year!” if it wasn’t for her.
With a honk on his quad bike and a Ho Ho Ho! Santa Clause arrived to see who had been naughty and nice. All the children gathered around him to receive their Christmas present.
